Two-Year MBA Bootcamp & Core Courses
This weeklong onboarding experience equips MBA students with the analytical and technological foundations needed to thrive in a quantitatively rigorous curriculum. Led by Goizueta Business School faculty, the program combines hands-on sessions and practical exercises to strengthen core quantitative skills while introducing the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and today’s most powerful AI tools. Participants will learn how data, algorithms, and computational thinking are transforming business decision-making, building confidence and capability before the semester begins.
Led by Goizueta's Graduate Career Management Center, the objective of this course is to prepare Full-time MBA students for the MBA job search and provide the tools needed to successfully manage future career transitions. The course covers the fundamental skills needs for the MBA recruiting process, including effective networking, company research, and interview practice.
This foundational experience helps MBA students develop the self-awareness and interpersonal skills essential for success in business school and beyond. Led by Goizueta Business School faculty, the program combines interactive workshops, team challenges, and personal reflection to strengthen leadership effectiveness at both the individual and team levels. Participants will explore key principles of collaboration, communication, and adaptive leadership, gaining practical tools to enhance performance and contribute meaningfully to the Goizueta community from day one.
This course introduces participants to concepts and principles of marketing management. The major role of marketing in a company (or public agency) is determining, creating, communicating and delivering a value proposition that meets the needs of its customers.
Introduction to the concepts, assumptions, principles, and procedures underlying financial accounting, with an emphasis on understanding how a company's operating, investing, and financing activities are reported on its financial statements.
This course uses several quantitate tools and excel formulas to teach students to compute important concepts to determine fundamental values of assets and corporate financial decisions. Students are assigned problems sets and cases that present real-world problems faced by corporate managers, and students apply the concepts and they learn in course to solve these problems.
Evolution of information technology has dramatically increased the availability and importance of data and statistical analysis in business decision making. This course centers on understanding the decision process and the role that statistical tools play. The emphasis is on structuring the decision processes and statistical tools, methods, analysis, and models that will serve the MBA curriculum and beyond.
This course focuses on the job, viewpoint, and skills of the general manager of a firm in diagnosing what is critical in business situations and in finding realistic solutions to strategic and organizational problems. We will examine issues central to the long- and short-term competitive position of the company and introduce you to crucial strategic and organizational skills, all of which will have a substantial impact upon organizational profitability.
This course in microeconomics will provide the fundamentals in understanding the how scarce resources and allocated in a system of unlimited wants. We will be examining how firms and workers respond to incentives, how tools & statistics help us determine the most efficient use of resources, how firms profit maximize and how markets arrive at equilibrium.
This course helps students learn and apply practical frameworks and systematic processes for addressing complex, real-world problems and facilitating effective action. It helps solidify an enterprise view by integrating across the lessons and tools of multiple core courses. It bridges the ideas of the classroom and the practical actions and complications of the real world and especially the challenges of team-based projects, which define much of the post-MBA work environment. Students work in teams to apply a structured approach to problem solving that gives problem owners the clarity and confidence to take action.
The challenges confronting firms competing in today’s dynamic environment demand a multi-disciplinary focus. This course integrates the fundamental principles of information systems and operations management to cover the multiple activities comprising a firm’s operating core and its supply chain.
Known as Growth Week, at the end of the Fall semester, students will synthesize and apply learnings across core courses on a capstone project sponsored by a company.

This course sharpens students' ability to communicate clearly and persuasively in professional settings. Emphasizing storytelling as a leadership tool, students learn to structure narratives, tailor messages to diverse audiences, and present ideas with impact. Designed for the digital age, the course empowers students to influence stakeholders and drive business decisions through compelling, strategic communication.
This course equips students with a comprehensive understanding of emerging technologies and their strategic application in business. Current course topics include frameworks for managing innovation, generative AI, machine learning, blockchain and decentralized finance (DeFi), robotic process automation, and technology governance. Each course topic is taught by a different Goizueta faculty member with unique expertise on the topic. The content of this course will evolve as new technology and tech trends emerge.
Through this course, students will:
- Understand the strategic role of digital technologies in creating sustainable business value
- Identify, evaluate, and apply emerging tech trends to real-world business scenarios
- Analyze and anticipate technologies likely to impact traditional business models, including ethical considerations
Domestic Module/Global Experiential Module (GEM)
Step out of the classroom and into the world. Faculty-led, weeklong domestic or global study trips punctuates the global perspective emphasized throughout the Goizueta curriculum. During your Global Experiential Module, you will explore a current topic within the context of an international setting and engage in company visits, meetings with business and government leaders, and cultural activities that provide a vantage point unattainable from the classroom.
Goizueta Advanced Leader Academy (GALA)
Take your leadership to a higher level with the Goizueta Advanced Leadership Academy. This program explores leadership in every context—featuring an ambitious, innovative curriculum with a mix of seminars, guest speakers, and tailored coaching designed to develop you into a thoughtful leader. The curriculum is capped off with a capstone trip to the British Virgin Islands, where you can put your burgeoning leadership skills to the test by sailing open waters.
Students will conduct research and discussion on different styles of leadership while engaging with veterans who have successfully made the transition from leading in the military to being organizational leaders in the business world. They will do extensive reading about business leaders to examine successes, failures, and do a deep dive into examining their own leadership style; incorporating self-assessment data and develop an individualized personal development plan to carry them through their transition and into the next phase of their careers. The fundamental purpose of the course is to assist each veteran student in determining the path on how to become the business leader they aspire to be as.
