Partners & Families

Students have access to Emory's fitness facilities and partners and family members may also become members; membership must be attached to the student. A day pass is $10; membership pricing can be found online. Membership can be at one or both facilities and grants access to the Fitness Center, Gym, and Classrooms. The centers also offer summer sports fitness camp for ages 5–12 and group fitness programs.

Woodruff Physical Education Center (WPEC)

Located at 26 Eagle Row, the Woodruff Physical Education Center is Emory's flagship fitness facility, offering a comprehensive range of amenities. It features an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a 50-meter by 25-yard pool with two 1-meter and two 3-meter diving platforms. The center also includes multiple basketball and volleyball courts, a climbing wall, racquetball courts, an indoor track, and a full-service fitness floor equipped with free weights and cardio machines. Additionally, WPEC houses multipurpose studios and locker rooms, serving both recreational and intercollegiate athletic needs.

Student Activity and Academic Center (SAAC)

Situated on Emory's Clairmont campus, the SAAC is a versatile facility that combines fitness, recreation, and academic support. It boasts an outdoor 50-meter Olympic pool with two 1-meter and two 3-meter diving boards, a 25-yard lap pool, and a children's wading pool. The indoor fitness center is equipped with cardio machines, strength training equipment, and free weights. The center also features two indoor basketball courts adaptable for volleyball and badminton, multipurpose classrooms, computer labs, and a café, providing a holistic environment for students and families.

Student Activity & Academic Center

The Robert W. Woodruff Library is open access and Emory students may check out books for free. Partner and family members of Emory students may open their own library account for $75 for six months or $100 for one year.

Located at the heart of Emory’s campus, the Robert W. Woodruff Library serves as the university’s primary academic library. It offers a vast collection of print and digital resources, including over 1 million items such as books, journals, and government documents. The library provides a range of services, including research assistance, study spaces, and access to specialized collections. Notably, the library houses the Stuart A. Rose Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library, which specializes in materials related to African American history and Southern culture.

The Emory Child Care Network provides a list of licensed child care centers throughout Metro Atlanta. Emory does not endorse or recommend any particular child care center and encourages all parents to carefully evaluate any provider they are considering to care for their child. The Clifton School and The Glenn School are located nearest Goizueta Business School.

The Clifton School

The Clifton School is a full-day, year-round childcare facility located near Emory University, offering programs for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, as well as summer camp for children ages 5 to 9. Open to Emory students, staff, and faculty, the school provides a nurturing environment that emphasizes creativity, curiosity, collaboration, and compassion. The curriculum is designed to foster lifelong learning through developmentally appropriate practices. The Clairmont & Clifton Road Sites are both nationally accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The school is conveniently located near campus with flexible hours, summer programs, and a focus on high-quality early childhood education.

The Glen School

The Glenn School for Young Children is a play based, half-day preschool and kindergarten in Atlanta focused on developing confident, responsible and caring learners. With classrooms for toddlers, two-year olds, three-year olds, Pre-K and Kindergarten, the school delivers team teaching (2 teachers or more) in every class and also has a counselor on staff, a music specialist, art instruction in the classroom, and emergent literacy curriculum starting at age two, which includes dictation dramatization activities. The school is conveniently located on Emory's campus just around the corner from Goizueta Business School.

The Glen School

Emory University requires ALL students (including international students) to have health insurance. The Emory University Student Health Insurance Plan provides options for annual and single semester coverage for students, their spouses, and their children/dependents.

Emory University Student Health Services (EUSHS) provides outpatient care for enrolled Emory students with a valid Emory ID card. International student's spouses, domestic partners, and unmarried children over 18 years of age are also eligible for primary medical care if they are currently enrolled in the Emory/Aetna Student Health Insurance Plan.
