Biography

Lakshmi Shankar Ramachandran (aka R. L. Shankar) is an Associate Professor in the Practice of Finance at Goizueta Business School, renowned for his expertise in FinTech and Asset Pricing. With a strong academic background, including a PhD in Finance from Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales du Nord (EdHEC), an MS in Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon University, and a BS in Technology (B.Tech) from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, Shankar brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his field.

Shankar has made notable contributions to the field of finance, with a research agenda dedicated to enhancing our understanding of asset pricing and investigating the implications of FinTech in today's dynamic markets. His research papers have been published in esteemed journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics (JFE).
