The Woodruff Scholars Program

  • Full MBA Tuition & Fees

  • Annual Stipend

An exceptional investment. A community for life.

Goizueta's Woodruff Scholars Program is much more than a scholarship. It is an intentionally designed, two-year experience that brings together exceptional MBA students for meaningful leadership and personal development, career preparation, mentorship, and lifelong connection. As recipients of Emory's most prestigious named scholarship, Woodruff Scholars receive full tuition and fees for the Full-Time MBA program, along with a $15,000 annual stipend for the duration of their degree. Just as important, they become part of a close-knit community that supports their growth during business school and long after graduation.

A Two-Year Experience Designed for Growth

The Woodruff Scholars experience is built around the belief that leadership development extends beyond the classroom. Through a combination of shared experiences, individual guidance, peer mentorship, and meaningful engagement, scholars have opportunities to reflect on their goals, explore new possibilities, and learn from one another.

    Leadership Exchange (LeadEx)

LeadEx is the cornerstone of the Woodruff Scholars experience. These recurring gatherings bring together scholars from both MBA cohorts throughout the academic year to build community, exchange ideas, and support one another's development.

LeadEx provides a dedicated space for thoughtful conversation, personal reflection, peer advising, and the program's signature development experiences.

    Designing Your Life

    Woodruff Scholars

During their first year, scholars participate in a guided exploration of Designing Your Life by Bill Burnett and Dave Evans. Through a shared reading and reflection process, they examine their values, identify personal and professional aspirations, and consider new possibilities for the future.

The experience helps scholars approach their next steps with greater self-awareness and intentionality while preparing them for the second-year DreamTrust experience.

    The DreamTrust Experience

In their second year, each scholar has the opportunity to bring an idea, challenge, or aspiration to their Woodruff Scholar community through a facilitated DreamTrust session.

Rather than simply presenting an idea, scholars invite their peers to serve as a trusted group of advisors, offering thoughtful perspectives, actionable advice, and support. The experience encourages creative problem-solving while deepening the relationships that make the Woodruff community distinctive.

A Legacy of Goodwill and Connection

The Woodruff Scholars Program carries forward the legacy of Robert W. Woodruff, the longtime president of The Coca-Cola Company, who was known for a personal tradition of sending a single rose inside a contour Coca-Cola bottle to friends, colleagues, and business associates on their birthdays. That tradition continues at Goizueta. Upon completing the Woodruff Scholars Program, each graduate receives a customized Coca-Cola bottle containing an artisan rose crafted from upcycled Coca-Cola and Sprite labels. It is a meaningful reminder that being a Woodruff Scholar is about more than what you accomplish during your MBA. It is about the relationships you build, the community you join, and the legacy you carry forward.
