    The Leadership Academy is an extra-curricular opportunity to participate in an advanced leadership development experience. The Leadership Academy program builds off of the leadership content in the curriculum with a particular emphasis on emotional intelligence.     The purpose of the Delta Air Lines Leadership Coaching Fellows Program (LCF) is to provide a leadership learning opportunity for students to understand, practice, and enhance their skills of providing team and individual performance feedback. The objective of the program is to provide the behavioral, relational, cognitive, and emotional tools that will enable selected students to effectively interact with teams and individuals to improve performance.

  • Leaders in Residence

    The Goizueta Leader in Residence (LIR) program is designed to have distinguished leaders with significant senior leadership experience interact with our Full-Time, Evening and and Executive MBA students as well as our undergraduate students in various ways. These typically include guest lecturing in selected classes, conducting meetings with students on career or management related issues, and participating in panels on selected topics. The range of these activities is driven by the interests of the LIR and the needs of the school.

    Each year, Dean Erika James invites a few selected leaders to be join the Leader-In-Residence Program. The general format requires that as a LIR volunteer their time and expertise spending a minimum of one (1) visit during the Fall and Spring semesters, and summer term at GBS.

    Our Associate Dean for Leadership Development, Ken Keen, manages this program on behalf of Dean James and the Goizueta Business School.

    Tom Beaty
    President & CEO, Insight Sourcing Group and SpendHQ

    Tom BeatyTom is the founder of Insight Sourcing Group and SpendHQ. He has over 20 years of strategic sourcing and management experience. Early in his career, Tom led the turnaround of a 120-employee construction company, converting substantial losses to profitability in under a year, primarily through cost optimization. This experience contributes heavily to his focus on delivering measurable results and high ROIs for clients.

    Dagmar Boggs
    President, 7-Eleven Global Customer Team at The Coca-Cola Company

    Dagmar BoggsDagmar Boggs assumed the role of President, 7-Eleven Global Customer Team on July 1, 2014 and reports into the Chief Retail Officer of the North America Group. Dagmar leads a global customer team on the mission of becoming 7-Eleven’s superior growth partner in over 16 countries through joint value creation strategies and driving sustainable growth via consumer preferred programs and brands.

    Tony Charaf
    Former Senior Vice President & Chief Cargo Officer, President Technical Operations/MRO at Delta Air Lines, Inc.

    Tony CharafAfter nearly 18 years, Tony Charaf retired from Delta Air Lines as a Senior Executive. Tony joined Delta in 1996 as Director, Engine Maintenance and served in positions of increasing responsibility. In 1997 he was promoted to Vice President, Maintenance. In 2000, Tony was promoted to Senior Vice President, Delta Air Cargo, a one billion dollar business for the airline. Tony served as Chief Cargo Officer until 2004.

    Hervé Coyco

    Herve CoycoHervé Coyco is currently Program Director for International Companies such as Total and Air France KLM and is giving lectures in Leadership and General Management. In addition, Hervé Coyco is a consultant in Strategy, Organization and Management of International Operations.

    H. James Dallas
    Former Senior Vice President, Quality and Operations at Medtronic, Inc.

    H. James DallasMr. Dallas is an accomplished senior executive with extensive experience as an agent of change in large domestic and international corporate settings.

    Donnie Hodge
    CEO & Owner of Alta Gracia Apparel

    H. James DallasIn April 2015, Mr. Hodge invested in and led the spinoff of Alta Gracia as part of the Knights Apparel acquisition by Hanes. In addition to investing in the Alta Gracia business, Mr. Hodge was named CEO & President of the new stand-alone Alta Gracia Holdco and became sole owner in February 2016. A new book Sewing Hope was recently published by University of California Press based on Alta Gracia, on this initiative. Prior to that Mr. Hodge was President and COO of Knights Apparel and was responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the largest producer of licensed college sports apparel in the U.S. and served in that capacity since 2008.

    Thomas Kuntz
    Former Corporate Executive Vice President, President and Chief Executive Officer at SunTrust Banks

    Thomas KuntzTom Kuntz retired on December 31, 2013 from SunTrust Banks, Inc. as Corporate Executive Vice President and as President and Chief Executive Officer SunTrust Banks, Florida after a 35 year career with the company. Mr. Kuntz continues to serve on the Board of Directors of SunTrust Bank, Central Florida.

    Michael E. Shapiro

    Michael E. ShapiroMichael E. Shapiro was the Nancy and Holcombe T. Green, Jr. Director of the High Museum of Art from March 2000 through July 2015. Shapiro joined the High’s leadership team in 1995, where he oversaw unprecedented growth of the Museum’s collection, developed numerous partnerships with national and international art institutions to bring masterworks to the High, spearheaded the Museum’s 177,000 Square foot expansion by Renzo Piano that opened in November 2005, and increased the reach and impact of the Museum’s education programming and accessibility for school children and diverse audiences.

Leader's Reaction Course

The Leader's Reaction Course is a unique experiential leadership opportunity being offered to Goizueta selected BBA and MBA students that builds upon the programs and facilities of the U.S. Army for developing leadership. It uses the Leader's Reaction Course at Fort Benning, Georgia that is used to train all the Army's Officer Candidates.
