Biography

Jenevieve Zhang has an amplitude of worldly experience. The China-native majored in international business and worked several internships across Asia as well as America. Additionally, she even took a year off to live in Singapore where she explored various areas of business and worked a few internships to better determine her career path.

“I think with that experience and also my background in international business really gave me a very unique global perspective on the role of business and technology within this global backdrop,” Jenevieve says. “Moving all the way from Asia to America, I really wanted to see what difference I could make, and I think that it's very important to have a combination of business and data skills together in order to leverage your footprints in the business landscape.”

To better combine her knowledge of business and data, Jenevieve determined Goizueta’s 10-month MSBA program to be a perfect fit. From the experiential learning, large alumni network, Atlanta location and endless opportunities, Jenevieve knew she was in the right place.

Even with the perfect fit, Jenevieve was a bit anxious upon entering the program as she was concerned about learning the magnitude of programming language in a short time. “Ever since I got in, the professors and faculty are here just to help you and guide you step by step by developing that familiarity,” she says. “One thing I really want everybody to know is how grateful I am for the business school and our business school community. Every professor is going to know you, and they're going to know your name.”

Jenevieve also serves as the program career liaison as well as the admission ambassador for the program where she helps international students navigate their own career journey. She assists with building a resume, as well as guides them on what challenges international students may face transitioning from one business world to another.

“These are the chances that no other program is going to give, which I'm really grateful for,” she says. “I think that really allows me to grow as a person as well.”
