Students must use available Veteran Affairs (VA) benefits. These include the Post 911/GI Bill; the Yellow Ribbon Program; the Veteran Readiness & Employment services (Chapter 31); etc.
Students using any kind of VA benefits must complete the Emory VA Certification Request Form each semester to receive VA benefits. The VA Compliance office will send a reminder to complete this form at the appropriate time. Students are encouraged to complete this form as soon as possible after receiving the email to avoid disruption to receiving their benefits and enrollment.
- Deposits are applied to your student account
- Tuition & fees are added to student accounts after registering for classes each semester
- Goizueta’s Yellow Ribbon contribution will be put in your account approximately 1 week following the close of Add/Drop
- In 4-6 weeks, Emory will receive payment from the VA based on your eligibility
- Once all payments are applied to your account, any remaining balance will be returned to you by check or by direct deposit (if applicable).

All domestic students are eligible to apply for Federal Financial Aid through the Emory Financial Aid Office by completing the FAFSA form.
All Emory students must be fully immunized prior to enrollment, with documents submitted by August 1. Vaccination requirements and access instructions for the Student Health Portal are on the Emory Student Health Services website.
Students are automatically enrolled in the Emory Student Health Insurance Plan (EUSHIP) for the academic year unless they opt out of or waive coverage. To waive EUSHIP, you must complete the waiver process. This annual process must be completed by August 1 each year.
When you submit a waiver request, you will need to provide proof of insurance. Your insurance must meet the delineated criteria and will undergo an audit to ensure it will provide you with adequate coverage during your studies. If the waiver is not submitted and accepted by the August 1 deadline, you will be charged the full amount for the year.
