Denys was promoted to Chief Technology Officer while simultaneously continuing in the internal role of Director, IT Operations, driving initiatives to successfully lead business projects with technology components. Since joining Goizueta in 2008, he has performed 5 different positions and impacted multiple transformations in business relationships, operations, IT governance, financial planning, and team leadership.
His efforts include building a support network across the University by championing Goizueta’s involvement in the Enterprise IT decision-making process and chairing the Technology and Infrastructure Policy Subcommitee. He has redirected use of technology as an enhancement to positive experience at Goizueta for students, staff, and faculty. Thriving on challenge, Denys won approval to build a team and create the first Business Intelligence/Analytics practice at Goizueta.
His commitment to Emory started in his undergraduate days as he earned his BS in Biology and grew through his graduate years at Goizueta, where he received his MBA in Finance and Consulting. Denys’s contributions extend beyond the campus. He is a member of the Technology Association of Georgia and the Business Computing Direction (BCD) — a consortium of CIOs and CTOs from top 25 business schools. He is also a Board member at HealthMPowers, a nonprofit that increases health knowledge and promotes health-enhancing behaviors in school settings.
