Marvell Nesmith

Marvell Nesmith is the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs & Instructional Design. In this role he works closely with chief campus academic and student affairs officers to oversee academic and student affairs for Goizueta Business School. He is known as an innovative, driven, and exceptionally talented educational leader. His experience working with leaders in medicine, law, and health science to implement curriculum changes from both the faculty and staff perspectives serves Goizueta well. Marvell is charged with the coordination of mission statements, academic strategic plans, academic policy, shared governance, admission progression, and retention standards for Goizueta while ensuring alignment with Emory University policies and governance. He serves as the primary liaison between the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), and Goizueta, as it relates to matters of accreditation. In this position, Marvell also oversees Academic Administration, Academic Media Services, Global Digital Education, the Goizueta Registrar’s Office, and Instructional Design.
