Biography

Always an avid TV watcher, Sarah began looking more closely at the medium while in college. In her sophomore year, Sarah became passionate about creating representation for South Asian and Middle Eastern women in media. Because of this, she is pursuing a BBA with a concentration in Film and Media Management, hoping to use her degree to help create that representation in the industry.

Upon graduation, Sarah envisions herself on the creative development end of television or film production. Until then, she is enjoying exploring the academic subjects close to her heart. In a Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies class, Sarah was given permission to explore topics of women’s gender studies within film for her final essay. “I found the course to be extremely interesting and gave me a broader education on the scope of intersectionality within film.”

Sarah is also interested in music. As the host of her own show on WMRE, Emory’s student-run radio station, she enjoyed the creative process of curating a show.

In preparation to enter the entertainment industry, Sarah combines her studies with relevant work experience. Sarah took a leave of absence for a semester to intern at NBC with Late Night with Seth Meyers. She also completed a summer internship with NBC at the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
