Graduation & Commencement
2025 Commencement Welcome
Dear Graduates, Families, Friends and Alumni:
Our Goizueta graduates will be joining an elite group. Our school's programs are selective and demanding. And our expectations for student integrity and leadership high. Earning a Goizueta degree requires sustained effort and determination. Although the effort is monumental, I am confident our graduates will find the rewards to be well worth it.
We believe business is a vehicle capable of delivering meaningful, lasting impact on society. In this graduating class, I see so many principled leaders ready to solve the biggest problems of our future. I cannot wait to see where they go next, the ways they will continue to thrive, and how they will leave their mark on the world around us.
We invite you to join us in this important milestone. We look forward to celebrating our graduates and their achievements together.
Sincerely,
Gareth M. James

Registration
Students must register to attend both University and Goizueta Commencement events. Registration for Goizueta ceremonies is needed for accurate headcounts and catering, where relevant. However, no tickets are required for any Goizueta ceremonies, events, or receptions and we have capacity for all attendees.
The University Ceremony on the Quad on Monday, May 12 at 8:30am is the only event that requires tickets. Registration for the University event will automatically include access to two guest tickets initially. Unclaimed tickets will be offered to registered graduates in subsequent waves of ticket releases pending availability. Graduating students will receive an email from the University's ticketing provider, MarchingOrder, when registration opens.

FAQ
There is no guest limit number for Goizueta ceremonies, but registration is required for accurate headcounts and our marching list. You will not need tickets to enter any Goizueta events or receptions.
The University, however, will require tickets for the University Ceremony on the Quad on the morning of Monday, May 12th due to capacity constraints. Registration for the University event will include access to two guest tickets initially. Any unassigned tickets will be released in subsequent waves.
Graduating students will receive an email from the University’s ticketing provider MarchingOrder when registration opens in late February.
All graduates will have their diplomas mailed to the diploma address listed on file in OPUS. If no diploma address is listed, the diploma will be mailed to the permanent address. Please see the University Registrar's website for additional details. Students will receive a diploma cover at their Diploma Ceremony (this is the big blue folder you see in everyone's graduation photos!).
Yes! Grad Images will be on site to take photos of all graduates.
Emory's Plan Your Visit page on the Commencement website has area hotels and restaurants listed.
The University and Goizueta registration forms will both permit you to input special seating needs. All Goizueta diploma ceremonies will take place in the Woodruff P.E. Center, which has bleacher seating. Graduates can request special seating-area tickets for their guests with mobility concerns or other conditions that would prevent access to bleacher seating. While the special-seating areas in the WoodPEC are situated for ease of mobility, the arena is about 100 yards from the building entrance. The special seating areas are located on the gym floor, behind the graduate seating area. These seats are not closest to the stage nor do they provide the "best view" - rather they are accessible for those who would be unable to climb onto a bleacher.
If you graduate in August or December, you are considered part of the next graduating class. This means that your name will appear in the publication list the following May and you will also be considered for graduation honors and awards at that time.
