Biography

Ria realized as she entered college that she had no idea what she wanted to major in. Emory stood out as the perfect choice for her because it offered the best of both worlds: a traditional liberal arts education with the flexibility to explore pre-professional tracks like pre-business and pre-law.

As a sophomore, Ria participated in a banking trek to learn more about the industry, quickly realizing that she wasn’t interested in starting out in banking and leading her to refocus her academic and career goals towards Consulting and ISOM. Some of Ria’s favorite courses ended up being Philanthropy Lab, where she learned the principles of philanthropy and by the end of the class was offered a $10K grant to donate to a local Atlanta charity of her choice, and Business and Society, which reminded her of the impact that businesses can have on local communities, the environment and society as a whole.

Ria is currently a Business Analyst at McKinsey and intends to pursue a JD/MBA in the future to combine her passion for law with the work she does in business.
