Biography

One appealing aspect for several students attending Emory is the opportunity to get a dual degree through Goizueta. When Meghan Renfrow visited Emory during interview day for the Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2018, she soon learned about the ability to receive a dual degree. “As a dual-degree student, my experience in choosing Goizueta was unique. That being said, beyond the amazing DPT program offered at Emory, the dual-degree option and opportunity to attend Goizueta was a massive factor in my choice to attend Emory University.”

Meghan entered the One-Year MBA program with the hope to one day become a leader in the healthcare field, particularly within physical therapy. “My experience at Goizueta has helped fill a large gap in my business-related knowledge that I've consistently recognized throughout the course of my education. Having decided on healthcare at an early age, my entire coursework throughout both college and graduate school have been strictly clinical/healthcare-related. While valuable in their own regard, I always knew I wanted more.”

Meghan’s confidence has only grown since joining the MBA program, enabling her to seek out new opportunities, including working as a Goizueta IMPACT 360 teaching assistant. “As a student with zero background in the business world, I've found myself accepting leadership positions that even just a few months ago I would have never imagined myself pursuing. I've quickly learned that being a leader doesn't always mean knowing every right answer, but rather being able to guide others to uncover their own full potential.”

During her time at Goizueta, Meghan has opened several doors as it not only relates to her career path, but also to further her confidence as a future leader in healthcare. “I couldn't have done it without taking the leap of faith and applying to Goizueta.”
