Biography
During his time at Goizueta, Juan was always looking for a way to stand out above the rest. His focus in strategy helped him do just that, both in the classroom and on the job. During his summer internship at PwC, he was able to combine the concepts and techniques he learned and successfully apply them to a real-life business environment.
"As part of my internship orientation, I analyzed a case involving a Florida hotel where I applied the problem-solving and story-boarding tools we learned," he says. "The application of those business capabilities gave me the confidence I needed to tackle the work and helped me lead our team to be selected as one of the top three presentations."
Juan was able to leverage the strong Goizueta alumni network to advance his job search. He says, "In my case, I was able to reach out to and make connections with alumni in every consulting firm I was interested in. They helped me in understanding the key aspects of each company and practices, and also in preparing for networking and interviews. This is key for MBA students because it helps you be more efficient and differentiate yourself in the job search process.It is amazing how current students, alumni, and staff are willing to share time and resources to help you achieve your goals."
