Humberto García-Sjögrim

Group Director, Business Integration, Global Public Affairs, Sustainability, and Communications, The Coca-Cola Company

Biography

Everyone knows that Coca-Cola is more than just a soft drink. The Atlanta-based, international corporation is also a philanthropic giant, that goes above and beyond the bottom line through The Coca-Cola Foundation—a charitable organization started in 1984 by Roberto C. Goizueta. Now, a Goizueta Business School graduate, Humberto García-Sjögrim, is carrying on the legacy of this school’s founder, as vice president of Latin Affairs at the Coca-Cola Company.

In this role, Humberto is responsible for strengthening connections with the Hispanic community, as he develops and manages relationships with key local, state, and national Hispanic political, business, civic, and community leaders. It was his experience at Goizueta—rolling up his sleeves, working on projects outside of the classroom, creating bonds with fellow students, staff members, faculty, alumni and business leaders of Atlanta—that helped him craft his leadership style, and cultivate his passion for creating cultural change. “Coca-Cola is and always has been for everyone,” says Humberto. “We celebrate the diversity of our associates and the communities we serve.” This distinguished alum is not just following in the footsteps of Roberto Goizueta, Humberto is leading one of the largest, and most altruistic corporations on the planet, beyond.
