Biography
Robert Tullonge has a strong passion for finance. He found his love for finance late during undergrad, and after hearing from students within Goizueta’s Master of Finance program, he knew it was the perfect fit to deepen his knowledge and strengthen his skills. “I was watching the testimonials of the students who had undergone the program, and a lot of them spoke about getting those technical and fundamental skills – where they were versus how they left the program, and everyone had an enhanced profile,” Robert says. “I wanted that for myself.”
For Robert, one of the most rewarding aspects of the program has been the opportunity to learn alongside a diverse cohort. “This is probably one of the best experiences that you will have attending this program,” he says. “You get access to different cultures, different foods, different individuals, and all of that comes together along with the learning experience. And it's a room full of astute and shrewd individuals that you'll gain knowledge from…You're in a classroom full of 50 or so students, everyone stemming from across the world, and you gain access to a network that you might not gain anywhere else.”
From the hands-on learning in the classroom to the off-campus trips, Robert has embraced opportunities to make the most of his experience. One of the highlights for Robert, however, was getting to know the faculty.
Beyond the classroom learning, Robert especially values the relationships he has developed with Goizueta’s faculty. “Aside from learning, it’s the world-class faculty that you have access to every day,” he says. “You can come to them, you can laugh with them, you can joke with them. Those kinds of interactions are second to none, and it's something that is found here at Emory – something that is culminated in the culture here. It's what I love about the program most.”
