Ishitha Kumar

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Finance. I have a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. I worked at the Center for Capital Markets at Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, before joining Goizueta Business School.

As a part of my engineering PhD, I performed experiments in which I could control all the physical variables to precisely estimate cause and effect. This is the aspect of Finance I find particularly fascinating, that there can always be a confounding factor.

My broad research interest is in FinTech. I am currently studying the impact of FinTech on the traditional market structure.
