Biography
Salvador had lead others before; he founded his undergraduate ALPFA chapter and coached high school soccer before coming to business school, in fact. But he became a leader at Goizueta.
The school's tight-knit, collaborative environment gave him the support system he needed to take new risks, learn more about himself as a professional, and gain further confidence as a leader. Coupled with the knowledge he gained in the classroom, the experience Salvador gained while at Goizueta helped pave the path ahead, to a leadership program in human resources with Emerson Electric.
"One aspect that paid off for me tremendously over my two years was the collaborative environment at Goizueta. The collaborative nature of the program enhanced my leadership development. At every point I took a leadership position, I felt supported because I knew my classmates were there to help if I needed. They provided a safety net to take risks and try new things: things that I believe are crucial to discovering your own leadership style. Had it not been for our tight-knit community, I don't think I would have developed my leadership capability to the potential I have now."
