Laughter enjoyed a solid career with Delta Air Lines but knew that a significant move up would require a major investment.

While still an EMBA student, Laughter was promoted to Delta's director of material and planning, and eight months after graduation he rose to vice president of maintenance operations. Now a senior vice president with the airline – a series of career moves that outpaced even his own expectations – Laughter attributes his rise to his "expanded skill sets in finance, accounting, and strategy," though he ranks the insights and through processes of the "80 brilliant executives" who were his classmates just as high.
"I needed certain business acumen that only a top-notch MBA could provide," he concludes.
