Biography

When Jared Bazan began looking for MBA programs, he knew he wanted one that focused on developing key leadership skills to help advance his career. With the hope to continue working in the pharmaceutical consulting industry post-MBA, Jared found Goizueta’s One-Year MBA program to provide exactly what he needed. “I chose to get an MBA because of my previous role as a consultant in a market research firm. I was excelling in my position and knew that getting an MBA was going to take me to that next step in leadership.”

The One-Year program offers a variety of leadership opportunities for students, including a multitude of fellowship programs, something Jared has truly enjoyed. As a Delta Air Lines Leadership Coaching Fellow and a Healthcare Fellow, he has grown as a leader by improving his presence and communication skills.

“Through my experience as a Delta Air Lines Leadership Coaching Fellow, I've been awarded the opportunity to coach a core team of first-year students through their core semester this fall, which has allowed me to develop my coaching skills for the future.”

The Health Care Fellowship also provided an opportunity for Jared to explore his interests in the cross section of life sciences and business by working within the business school as well as with other graduate programs.

In addition to the fellowship programs, Jared has benefited from getting to know his colleagues and making those connections with others due to Goizueta’s small-by-design community. By connecting on a personal level with professors, Jared feels they have truly invested in his success for the longevity of his career.

“The Emory community is extremely tight knit, and due to the small class sizes you really get to connect with people that are pursuing different careers or have different class interests, as well as people from different diverse backgrounds. I think that allows us to really learn and grow as people, beyond just a business education.”
