Engagement, collaboration, and fellowship among doctoral students are encouraged at Emory. Since 2018, the Graduate Research in Accounting Conference (GRACE) provides a way to help students meet each other and find opportunities to work together. In order to make sure that this is a low-pressure environment, we ask that faculty not attend. Last year, more than 30 students attended from multiple universities, and we hope to keep growing the conference this year.

There is no registration fee. Breakfast, lunch, and happy hour will be provided.

At Emory, the accounting doctoral students would like to encourage more engagement, collaboration, and fellowship among doctoral students. As a way to help students meet each other and find opportunities to work together, we are arranging the Graduate Research in Accounting Conference at Emory (GRACE) on July 25, 2025. This is the eighth year of this event. Last time more than 30 students attended from multiple universities, and we hope to grow the conference this year.

We are extending an invitation to all interested students who would like to attend or present their research. Because we would like to make this an activity that promotes fellowship among all students, we are specifically encouraging first, second, and third year students who may not have a full working paper to submit a research proposal.

We hope that students will enjoy a lively day of fellowship at GRACE, and get to know each other's research interests. We envision GRACE as a low-pressure environment that will give students practice in presenting ideas and workshopping papers. In order to make sure that this is a low-pressure environment, we ask that faculty not attend.

The conference will be held at Emory University's Goizueta Business School (1300 Clifton Road, Atlanta, GA 30322). Participants can park in the visitors section of the Fishburne Parking Deck next to the business school. The cost is $14 for the day. Entrance to the parking deck is off Fishburne Lane.

For participants needing to stay in a hotel, we recommend the Emory Conference Center Hotel (http://www.emoryconferencecenter.com). The hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk from the business school and is on the Emory shuttle line.
