    We deliver interdisciplinary research that explores connections between business practices, market structures, and social outcomes.

    We develop next generation business leaders equipped with systems thinking and problem solving skills through coursework and hands-on experiences.

    We create spaces for dialogue, debate, and solutions through community events, practitioner conferences, and other activities.

    We put research into action through innovative programs that create better markets and stronger communities both here in Atlanta and globally.

Justice

Equitable, inclusive workplaces & communities

Building upon the research of Professor Erika Hall, the school’s DEI academic concentration, experiential learning delivered by the John R. Lewis Racial Justice Case Competition, and other activities, the Institute develops business leaders committed to equitable, inclusive workplaces and communities.

Climate-Smart Leaders & Organizations

Leveraging the energy systems and emissions research of Professor Wes Longhofer, integration of climate topics into existing academic courses, engagement in ClimateCAP, and growing student activities, the Institute develops climate-smart leaders prepared to innovate and implement strategies across all sectors.

Flourishing Atlanta & Global Communities

Drawing upon research by Professor Peter
Roberts and community-based programs supporting microentrepreneurs in Atlanta neighborhoods and specialty coffee farmers globally, along with clubs and courses, the Institute levels the playing field for entrepreneurs and creates opportunities for communities to flourish.
