It didn’t take Erik long to identify a Goizueta advantage that lined up with his requirements
in an MBA: class size. Says Erik, “I believe that access to faculty is key to a meaningful MBA experience. Goizueta’s small-by-design classes were exactly what I was looking for and far exceeded my expectations.”
A class visit confirmed the high potential Erik saw in a Goizueta education in part because,
in his words, “I saw firsthand the quality of the faculty and developed a vision of what the
MBA experience would be like.”
One-Year MBA students such as Erik consistently single out the Summer Experience for praise; it is not only an introduction to team building and academics but also comes with opportunities for company field visits, leadership training, client work, and optional international travel. Erik relates, “The Summer Experience is a transformative time that develops you personally and professionally at a remarkable rate. I’m confident that the meaningful relationships I formed with my peers and program faculty during the Summer Experience will last a lifetime.”
He is taking full advantage of the broad spectrum of courses available to him in the One-Year MBA program. He notes, “Operations Strategy, Competitive Advantage, and the IMPACT curriculum have provided frameworks and insights of direct value to the consulting work I will return to upon graduation.” An Entrepreneurship directed study, as well as courses in Economics, Corporate Finance, and Marketing have, he says, “provided me valuable depth in business disciplines that I had limited experience with prior to coming to Goizueta.”
Alongside all that the program offers are the sizable resources of Atlanta. Erik is already looking ahead to how his Goizueta degree will enhance his value with his employer. “I’m confident,” he says, ‘that the exposure I’ve had to the latest business thinking, enhanced by ideas shared across my newfound network of Goizueta peers and alumni, will allow me to bring an extra level of insight and creativity to my work, lead teams more effectively, play a key role in driving my company’s continued growth, and ultimately create more meaningful results for my clients.”
