Next Level Leadership: An Enterprise Perspective is a three-day program designed for mid-level leaders who are ready to expand their influence and effectiveness across the enterprise. How It Works

This 3-day, in-person professional development course equips mid-level leaders with the tools to expand their impact across the enterprise. Through case studies, simulations, and applied exercises, you’ll sharpen your decision-making, strengthen your emotional intelligence, and practice coaching techniques that drive growth. You’ll also learn how to influence stakeholders, navigate organizational change, and translate strategy into action. By the end of the program, you’ll leave with a personalized 90-day leadership plan and the confidence to lead with clarity, adaptability, and purpose. This executive education course applies to the Roberto C. Goizueta Leadership, Excellence in Business, and Strategy & Innovation Certificates.

Instructor Spotlight

  • Richard Berlin

    Richard Berlin brings a unique blend of legal, business, and leadership expertise with a JD from the University of Georgia and an MBA from Emory University. Before joining Emory’s faculty, he held roles at major organizations including Accenture, Kaplan, and Avanade, and founded StrategyFrog, a SaaS company focused on strategic growth. His teaching and research explore how strategy, organizational change, and leadership drive performance and long-term results.
  • Steve Walton

    Steve Walton, PhD, has been a faculty member at Goizueta Business School since 1996, bringing expertise in strategic execution, operational decision-making, and the role of leadership in driving results. A former IBM professional, he has earned 11 teaching awards, including Emory’s highest university-wide honor for teaching. His work bridges academic insight with practical impact in the classroom and beyond.
  • Karen Sedatole

    Karen Sedatole’s research and teaching examine how strategy execution connects to performance measurement, forecasting, budgeting, and reward systems. She also explores the influence of leadership on organizational outcomes across industries including healthcare, consumer goods, manufacturing, and information technology. At Goizueta, she teaches in Executive Education’s Chief Medical Officer course and the Business of Healthcare certificate program.
  • Karen Golden-Biddle

    Karen Golden-Biddle is an award-winning researcher and Professor Emerita at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business, recognized for her work on discovery as a catalyst for transformative change. Her scholarship has been featured in leading journals, and her 2024 book, The Untapped Power of Discovery, guides leaders in harnessing the unexpected to inspire a better future. She is also a Fellow of the Academy of Management, honoring her contributions to the science and practice of management.
  • Rod McCowan

    Rod McCowan, PhD, is a former White House Fellow and faculty member at Emory University whose work centers on strategy, organizational change, and strategic leadership. He earned his doctorate with honors from IE Business School in Madrid, along with a master’s in research methodology. His teaching and research explore how principled leaders drive effective organizational change and long-term success.
  • Andrew Deutscher

    Andrew Deutscher is the founder and CEO of Regenerate and a leading voice on sustainable performance and high-capacity leadership. Drawing on two decades of corporate experience and his own journey through burnout, he helps organizations transform energy management into a strategic advantage. Through coaching, training, and consulting, Andrew equips leaders to boost clarity, stamina, and collaboration—creating high-performance cultures built on resilience rather than overwork.
