Biography
Spencer originally chose Emory because of the strength of its film program and location in Atlanta, one of the largest hubs of film production in the United States. He prioritized attending a school with a flexible curriculum, that would allow him to explore varied classes and subjects before declaring a major.
During his time as a BBA, Spencer enjoyed meeting other passionate students and working on group projects with them, especially in his Marketing coursework, where they could flex their creative muscles with unique ideas and professional slide decks. Spencer would eventually go on to become a Teaching Assistant in the Marketing area for three semesters, through which he formed close relationships with faculty and completed extracurricular research assignments.
Spencer credits his ability to refine his career goals to the experiential opportunities he engaged in as a BBA, including a Marketing and Arts Management career treks in NYC and LA, respectively. He found great value in the internship search preparation provided by the BBA Career Management Center, including one-on-one coaching and interview prep through his Professional Development class. Spencer is currently pursuing a career that combines his passion for film and media with the marketing skills he acquired at Goizueta.
