We accept a scanned copy of your university transcripts for evaluative purposes; the document must include the institution's name, your name, degree conferred (with date), and all courses taken with relevant grades. We do not accept records that you have downloaded for personal use. Transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended are required. If you are admitted to the program you will be required to submit official transcripts with your enrollment deposit.
We require a certified translation of all transcripts if the original was not issued in English. The Admissions Committee strongly recommends that international applicants have their academic transcripts authenticated by EducationUSA, a U.S. State Department affiliated network of advising centers throughout the world, or by World Education Services.
We will consider applicants who hold three year Bachelor of Commerce degrees from institutions outside the United States. However, given the highly competitive nature of our applicant pool, those applicants with significant work experience and additional education beyond the three-year degree are viewed as more competitive.
Goizueta Business School expects all students to possess strong communication skills in English.
You are not required to submit an English Language Test Score if your undergraduate degree is from an institution in which English is the language of instruction AND you work in a country where commerce is generally conducted in English (for Example: India, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Ghana, Nigeria and Uganda). No English Language Test waiver is required, please do not request one.
For all other applicants whose native language is not English, we require the TOEFL exam (recommended score of 100 iBT or higher) or the IELTS (recommended score of 7.0 or higher).
An English Language Test waiver may be requested if a candidate has:
- Spent at least 3 years in the U.S. studying toward completion of an undergraduate degree, OR
- Completed a graduate degree in the U.S. followed by at least 1 year of work in the U.S.
Requests for an English Language Test waiver should be submitted in writing after submitting your application. Please provide an explanation in the body of your email to show how you meet the above requirements.
During PMEL international MBA students polish their English and build confidence in their communication skills. Lessons focus on preparing students for the rigors of the MBA classroom and U.S. teaching methods. Students meet with Goizueta faculty, alumni, and current students in the classroom and at networking events. The program also includes several social outings in Atlanta.
This four-day summer language institute takes place prior to One-Year MBA International Student Onboarding.
Offered on campus and in select cities around the world, interviews are an important part of the admission process. All students who are admitted to our programs have been interviewed. The admissions interview offers you the opportunity to explain in depth your educational and career experiences to date, and to elaborate on your post-MBA career plans. The interviewer is interested in your professional accomplishments as well as your leadership and community achievements. The interview is similar to a professional job interview, and as such you should dress in business attire and bring an updated copy of your résumé. Interviews last approximately 30 minutes.
Off-campus and web interviews are by invitation only after review of your completed application file.
