Goizueta Business School uses an online application system. It is not necessary to complete the application in one sitting. You will create a user name and password and may access the application from any computer until the application has been submitted. Special requests to complete a paper application should be submitted for consideration to MBAadmissions@emory.edu
We require an application fee from all applicants.* Your total fee depends on the number of programs you are applying to and will be displayed on the home page of your online application.
*Note: US Military service members who have been on active duty in the U.S. Military within the last three years, current Peace Corps Volunteers and Teach for America employees are exempt from the application fee. Please email MBAapplication@emory.edu to request a fee waiver. Do not submit an application fee if you meet the criteria, we are unable to process a reimbursement. We do not issue retroactive waivers.

The employment section on the résumé should include locations, titles, and dates, starting with your most recent job. The education section should include dates of attendance and degrees received.
Essays are considered a very important part of the application process and your opportunity to show the Admissions Committee a bit about yourself beyond the application. All 4 essay questions must be answered for your application to be considered complete. (Only two essays are required for re-applicants.) Applicants to Goizueta Business School are required to take the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Please review Frequently Asked Questions regarding test scores if you have additional questions.
Official score reports must be sent to Goizueta Business School directly from the testing service. You should complete the exam and request the official scores be sent by the application deadline of the round in which you are applying. Please allow 20 business days for the scores to reach our office. Both GMAT and GRE scores are valid for five years from the examination date. If you have taken the tests multiple times, please submit all of your scores.
You are encouraged to take the GMAT or GRE early in your MBA application process so that if you do not perform as well as you would like, you have the ability to retake the exam prior to any deadlines.
Goizueta Business School expects all students to possess strong communication skills in English. For applicants whose native language is not English, we require the TOEFL exam (min score 100 IBT) or the Pearson Test of English (PTE) (min score 68) or the IELTS (min score 7.0). If you received an undergraduate degree from an institution in which English is the language of instruction AND you work in a country where the commerce is generally conducted in English then your will receive an automatic TOEFL waiver (For Example: India, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Ghana, Nigeria and Uganda).

Please upload all transcripts to the application with your essays and résumé. We will accept scanned unofficial transcripts for evaluative purposes. If you are admitted to the program you are required to submit official transcripts with your enrollment deposit. We require transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended.
As part of the MBA application we require at least two letters of recommendation submitted either online or via hardcopy. We prefer that these recommendations are professional in nature. Please be thoughtful when selecting your recommenders, and make sure that you choose at least one person who knows you well in your current position, such as a direct supervisor, project manager or client. An evaluative interview is required of all applicants before an offer of admission can be extended. Interviews are offered on campus and in select cities around the world. After October 5, 2012 all interviews are by invitation only and occur after the submission of a completed application. Applications are reviewed in rounds. We encourage candidates who have submitted their on-line application to log into OPUS to verify materials received and to check their application status. The Admissions Office cannot accommodate requests to verify materials received over the phone.

The Admissions Committee reserves the right to limit the size of the entering class, and all decisions are final.
Offered on campus and in select cities around the world, interviews are an important part of the admission process. All students who are admitted to our programs have been interviewed. The admissions interview offers you the opportunity to explain more in depth your educational and career experiences to date, and to elaborate on your post-MBA career plans. The interviewer is interested in both your professional accomplishments as well as your leadership and community achievements. The interview is similar to a professional job interview, and as such you should dress in business attire and bring an updated copy of your résumé. Interviews last approximately 30 minutes.
On campus interviews are open to all qualified* candidates before October 5, 2012.
After October 5, interviews are by invitation only after review of your completed application. Submit all required application materials in order to be considered.
Off campus interviews are open to all qualified* candidates in a city we are visiting before October 5, 2012.
After October 5, off campus interviews are by invitation only. Should the Admissions Committee wish to connect with an applicant living in a city in which they are travelling to, the applicant will recieve an invitation to interview.
Web conference interviews are reserved for applicants living outside the United States and are by invitation only after review of a completed application. Submit all required application materials in order to be considered.
*Qualified candidates must have already graduated from their undergraduate college or university. The only exception to this policy are those candidates who are applying to one of our joint degree programs or who are non-traditional students with full-time work experience prior to attending undergraduate college or university.
If you are re-applying within two years of your original application, you are required to submit the information below. If more than two years have passed since your last application, you must complete all parts of the admission application.
