How It Works

Finance & Accounting for Non-Financial Managers will help you decipher the language of financial statements, examine sources of data, and explore analysis techniques to help you see beyond the numbers and uncover key measures of organizational performance. This course applies to the Certificate of Excellence in Business.
  • Cover the Basics

    Review the basics of financial statements, analysis, and manipulation. Understand the three statements, their similarities, and differences.
  • Common-size Financials

    Understand why and how to create common-size financials, and what they can be used to indicate. Learn important ratios for financial analysis including those related to debt, equity, assets, profits, and returns.
  • Real-world Context

    Dive into the time value of money, annuities, perpetuities, and net present value. Explore investment decision techniques including NPV, payback period, rate of return, and profitability.
