Biography

Suh Yeon is a doctoral candidate in the Marketing Department at Emory University's Goizueta Business School specializing in Quantitative Marketing. She obtained her master’s degree in Statistics at Columbia University and worked at LVMH Moët Hennessy - Louis Vuitton in New York before joining Emory as a doctoral student. She is an empirical marketing researcher who is interested in customer management (product returns, product customization, and customer journey analytics) and branding (private labels, brand equity dynamics, human brands, and star power). Suh Yeon uses multiple empirical strategies such as conducting field experiments, applying quasi-experimental approaches, and combining machine learning techniques to causal identification strategies.

Suh Yeon is a current job market candidate. Her job market paper is entitled “Physical Store Openings and Product Purchase and Return Behaviors: A Quasi-Experimental Approach Using the Causal Forest Method.” You can find her at the 2019 Summer AMA conference in Chicago, IL.
