U.S. Military & Veterans Assisted Funding

Goizueta Business School is proud to have been a Yellow Ribbon partner school since 2009. The Yellow Ribbon Program is a provision of the Post 9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008 (aka Chapter 33), and students must first be eligible for the Post 9/11 GI Bill®. Please contact the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to see if you are eligible and to request a Certificate of Eligibility (COE). According to the VA, you must use your full GI Bill funding before Yellow Ribbon funding is used.

Goizueta Business School provides up to 50 Yellow Ribbon awards per year for $22,250 annually, which is matched by the Veterans Administration. Candidates eligible for Yellow Ribbon funding will also be considered for merit-based scholarships.

Yellow Ribbon awards are provided on a first come, first serve basis and candidates are encouraged to apply to Goizueta and submit a deposit upon acceptance to secure funding. Historically, Goizueta has been able to provide Yellow Ribbon support to all eligible students.

GI Bill® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

To demonstrate our support of military candidates, we offer the following benefits for applicants with military experience.

  • Applications accepted after standard deadlines for deployed military personnel
  • Waived application fees for US military personnel and veterans
  • One-year deferment available if admitted military student is delayed by their service branch

Fort Moore Fellowships

In partnership with the Ft. Moore Maneuver Center of Excellence, Goizueta offers up to four fellowships each year to Executive MBA students who are stationed at Ft. Moore in Columbus, GA. After candidates exhaust their GI Bill and Yellow Ribbon funding, Goizueta will cover the balance of the full cost of attendance.

United States Military Academy Fellowships

Goizueta offers up to three fellowships to One-Year MBA students who are stationed as admissions staff at the USMA, West Point. This program, offered in collaboration between the USMA and Goizueta Business School, provides the balance of tuition for selected recipients.

Georgia National Guard Fellowships

Goizueta offers two fellowships each year to the part-time Evening MBA for Georgia National Guardsmen. Eligible candidates are part-time or full-time Georgia National Guardsmen who are admitted to our Evening MBA and will remain on active duty with the National Guard during their time in the program. Your application must include a letter of recommendation from Guard leadership.

Goizueta Business School Military Fellowship

The Goizueta Business School Military Fellowship recognizes one or more current Goizueta MBA students with a fellowship and financial stipend up to $10,000 for each student to serve in a formal role to support the Goizueta Business School in its military recruiting efforts for all graduate level programs (MBA, MS Business Analytics, Master of Analytical Finance).

Selected Military Fellows will represent the Goizueta active duty and veteran students within the Emory University community and with the larger military community nationally. In doing so, they will work with Goizueta's Associate Dean of Graduate Admissions and the Dean’s Military Advisor to recruit prospective military students from all services of the active military, Reserves, National Guard, Veterans, and the U.S. Coast Guard.

Goizueta Military Scholarship

The Goizueta Military Scholarship provides funding support to active-duty military or veterans enrolled in any Goizueta degree program. The funding amount and number of scholarships awarded varies each year.

Merit-based Scholarships

Goizueta offers several prestigious named MBA scholarships that range from partial to full tuition funding. Merit-based tuition scholarships are offered for all MBA programs to the strongest candidates in our applicant pools.

Goizueta Business School is proud to be a recognized institution for the development of high potential career military candidates. We collaborate with all branches of the military on an individual basis to determine which of our MBA programs is a fit for the service member's goals. Tuition for enrolled sponsored candidates is paid on behalf of the student by their branch, with some opportunities for Goizueta to offset any differential between sponsorship amount and the cost of tuition.
