Emotional Intelligence:  Conscious Leadership For Stressful Times

Self-Awareness is a primary emotional intelligence competency that helps you to understand your own emotions and their effects on your overall performance. You know what you are feeling and why—and how it helps or hurts what you are looking to accomplish. This session introduces ways to increase your self- awareness that will in turn help to positively impact your influence with others. Karl Kuhnert, professor in the practice of organization and management at Goizueta Business School, teaches courses in leadership, organizational change and professional ethics. With Emory Executive Education he teaches in courses like Leading and Inspiring Change, the Managerial Leadership Program and Emotional Intelligence.  His research focuses on how leaders cognitively, interpersonally, and emotionally develop over the life course.
