Length of Program

The MPH/MBA program is associated with the Health Policy Management, Global Health, or Epidemiology departments in the Rollins School of Public Health and Goizueta's Two-Year MBA. Students can complete this program in five semesters, which does not include summer enrollment. Students are encouraged to participate in summer internships to complement their course work. Two of the five semesters are full-time at Rollins.

It is important that you start the MPH/MBA program at Goizueta Business School. If you do not, it will take you an extra semester to graduate. Candidates begin the program in the fall with two semesters in the business school. The following fall and spring, candidates enroll in the Rollins School of Public Health. During the final fall semester, the candidate takes electives in both schools but enrolls in the business school.

Admissions Details

Students must apply to Goizueta Business School and the Rollins School of Public Health separately. If a student is accepted to both programs, they can enroll in the MPH/MBA program. We look at the test scores, GPA, work experience, essays, recommendations and interview when evaluating candidates.

In order to be a competitive applicant, you need to have full-time post undergraduate work experience. The average work experience for MBA students at Goizueta is five years. The Admissions Committee is most interested in hearing how your life and work experiences will add to MBA class discussions and an eventual business-related career. MBA classes are highly participatory and lively class discussions are a key part of the learning process. Our recommendation is that you package your application in a way that highlights the skills you have gained from your work and organizational experiences.

Applicants to Goizueta Business School are required to take the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Candidates should prepare vigorously for the quantitative portion of the test as candidates are expected to exceed the 50th percentile on the quantitative section of the exam. Most of our students score at the 75-80th percentile. Please visit our Frequently Asked Questions regarding test scores if you have additional questions.

Every applicant who submits a completed application by the Round 3 deadline and is admitted to Goizueta is automatically reviewed for merit-based, school-funded scholarships. No separate application is required; merit-based awards typically range from 20% to full tuition. If a student receives a scholarship, it applies to the semesters they are enrolled in the Business School.
