Goizueta was host to a stellar panel of CEOs and civic leaders for a CNN moderated panel on the results and road to recovery from the financial crisis. Dean Larry Benveniste joined the CEOs of AFLAC, NYSE Euronext and Home Depot as well as Senator Saxby Chambliss (GA) and Atlanta Federal Reserve President Dennis Lockhart for an unprecedented talk which was attended by over 800 students, alumni and local and national businesspersons.

Bell Ringing
On September 2, 2009 the NYSE Closing Bell® was rung from Emory University's Goizueta Business School in Atlanta, Georgia. NYSE Euronext CEO Duncan Niederaurer and Goizueta Business School Dean Larry Benveniste joined hundreds of students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends of the university in ringing The Closing Bell. This is the first time the New York Stock Exchange bell has been rung from a college or university campus or in the state of Georgia.
