Kudos to our BBAs

Ariel Ball and Arielle Katz were members of the team that took first place in the second annual Goizueta Real Estate Case Competition. 29 BBA, MBA, JD and MPH students in five teams answered the question, "How would you invest $100 million in Atlanta real estate or real estate investment trusts in today's market."

Roland Fischer, Philip Li, John McColl and Ian Vick captured first place in the inaugural Goizueta Hedge Fund Competition organized by the Alternative Investments Group and sponsored by The Center of Private Equity and Hedge Funds. Six teams delivered a pitch in November to five judges and after trading for three months, the winning team earned a return of approximately 15%. On February 20, they delivered a performance presentation.

Avani Gupta, Chair, and Shaheen Bandeali, Co-Chair of the 10th annual Undergraduate Business School Leadership Conference, which took place February 5-7 with 80 students from 28 top undergraduate programs across the US and 16 International Schools.

Emory captured the overall school win, receiving an average score of 4.1 out of a possible five in the Deloitte Consulting 4th Annual Consulting Challenge between Emory & Georgia Tech

Eden Chen, Kishore Eechambadi and Chen Zhu were semi-finalists in the Team Competition at the Nationwide Fisher Biz Quiz National Challenge, hosted by The Ohio State University's Fisher College of Business.

Seniors Jordan Edelman and Jonathan Laycock, of the fourth-ranked Emory University Men's Soccer Team, were named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-American team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), for their performances both on the field and in the classroom during the 2008 season.
