Recruiting
The PhD Program office participates in numerous domestic and international student-recruiting fairs. These events typically afford prospective students the opportunity to personally speak with representatives from Goizueta about our program.
Online Chatroom Recruiting Events
As a member of a global consortium of business PhD programs (DocNet) we offer online chatroom recruiting events several times a year. Prospective students enter the chat via a link on the participating institutions websites. You are met at the door by a greeter who welcomes and encourages you to visit as many rooms (institutions) as possible. You are free to jump from room to room to pose questions to the administrative staff, faculty or students in the chat rooms.
The PhD Project
The PhD Project Association seeks to improve workforce diversity through the development of future business school faculty of African American, Hispanic American and Native American lineage.
Since its inception just 11 years ago, The PhD Project was the momentum for a dramatic increase in the number of minority business school faculty-from 294 to 812, with approximately 400 more candidates currently immersed in doctoral studies.
The PhD Project hosts a conference in Chicago each November. The conference offers minority prospective applicants an excellent opportunity to understand the PhD process from application to degree. Current minority students and faculty lead informative panel discussions.
Goizueta has actively recruited at the PhD Project since the launch of our program in the Fall of 2001. We are pleased to have enrolled two students from The PhD Project ranks. They are actively involved in the area-specific Minority Doctoral Student Associations that provide networking, peer support, mentoring, and joint research opportunities.
