Admissions Events Overview
Goizueta Business School offers an array of ways to get to know our community, whether on-campus in Atlanta or in a city near you.
The best way to get to know us is to visit us for one of our upcoming recruiting events on campus. You'll have the opportunity to meet and hear from key members of our community including current students, alumni, faculty, and staff as well as take a tour of the business school. View driving directions and parking information, as well as hotel accommodations and nearby dining options.
Take an in depth look at our community--all in the span of a few hours! Open Houses include a class simulation and information sessions with representatives from MBA Admissions, the MBA Program Office, the Career Management Center, and current student leaders. During an Open House, you will also have the opportunity to conduct your admissions interview, have a casual lunch with current students, alumni, faculty and staff, and take a tour of the business school.
Held annually each fall, the Inside Goizueta Conference is a three day interactive conference for prospective students held in the fall of each year. Activities include panel discussions with current students and alumni, an admissions presentation, GMAT preparation seminar and class simulation. Please visit the Inside Goizueta website for more information.
Women at Goizueta Event
Network with current students, alumnae, staff and faculty at our annual Women at Goizueta event. This two-day event, in conjunction with the Executive Women of Goizueta Annual Conference, will showcase the array of opportunities and support available to women at Goizueta.
*Participation in the 2013 Women at Goizueta Event is by invitation only. All applications must be submitted by October 28. You are strongly encouraged to submit your application prior to the deadline since space is limited. Lodging for 2 nights will be provided by Goizueta at the Emory Conference Center to women who are accepted to the event. We will begin reviewing applications mid-September.
Goizueta Admissions Committee members travel throughout the United States and across the globe to meet with candidates interested in learning more about our MBA and to conduct admission interviews. Interviews occurring prior to the Round 2 application deadline do not require an application on file. To see our travel schedule, check out the Worldwide Recruiting Calendar.
To help you get to know us, we offer campus visit opportunities year round. Hosted by current Full-Time MBA students, these visits give you an up-close look at student and academic life at Goizueta. During your time here, you'll get to:
- Go to class with current students (Monday-Thursday)
- Join them for lunch and a tour of the business school.
- Attend an MBA Admissions Information session with an Admissions Director (On Fridays from June to January)
To make a reservation to attend a class visit, have lunch with a current student and/or attend an MBA Admissions Information session, register here. We will not offer visits during exams, mid-semester break or University holidays.
We look forward to meeting you soon!
Offered on campus and in select cities around the world, interviews are an important part of the admission process. All students who are admitted to our programs have been interviewed. The admissions interview offers you the opportunity to explain in depth your educational and career experiences to date, and to elaborate on your post-MBA career plans. The interviewer is interested in your professional accomplishments as well as your leadership and community achievements. The interview is similar to a professional job interview, and as such you should dress in business attire and bring an updated copy of your résumé. Interviews last approximately 30 minutes.
On campus interviews are open to all qualified* candidates prior to the Round 2 application deadline. You do not need to have an application on file to schedule an interview during this open-interview period. To request an on campus interview, visit the Goizueta Connection system. After filling out a brief registration form, request an interview appointment that suits your availability. You may also schedule a class visit or lunch with a current MBA student while you are on campus through Goizueta Connection.
After Round 2 deadline, interviews are by invitation only after review of your completed application file.
Off campus interviews are open to all qualified* candidates in cities we visit before the Round 2 application deadline. You do not need to have an application on file nor an invitation to interview during this open-interview period. To request an off-campus interview, visit our recruiting schedule and complete the brief request form. Your request will be reviewed for an interview appointment based on space availability.
After the Round 2 application deadline, interviews are by invitation only after review of your completed application file.
Web interviews are by invitation only after review of a completed application file.
*Qualified candidates must have already graduated from their undergraduate college or university. The only exception to this policy are those candidates who are applying to one of our joint degree programs or who are non-traditional students with full-time work experience prior to attending undergraduate college or university.
Choosing a business school is a big decision – after all, you will only hang one MBA diploma on your wall. At Goizueta Business School, we understand this importance and invite you to connect with us to learn more about our Full-Time MBA program during one or more of our live, interactive web chats. Each web chat is one hour long, and will cover an array of topics. Below is our schedule of upcoming web chats:
Connect with an Ambassador
Connect with current MBA students and alumni ambassadors through Goizueta Connection. Here, you can scroll through their profiles to seek and reach out to those with similar program or career interests. Please visit our Goizueta Connection page to connect.
During Winter Break, current students host coffee chats in their home cities. As you are choosing an MBA program, we hope you'll take the opportunity to connect with individuals already in the program in a city close to you. These informal conversations can help answer questions you may have or give you the perspective you need in this important process. View the full schedule here.
