GEvMBA Student Association
All Evening MBA students are members of GEvMBA, an organization dedicated to giving students a voice in decisions regarding the Evening MBA program. Through its three student-run committees, GEvMBA also provides additional opportunities for student leadership and involvement in the global Goizueta community.
Academic Advisory Committee
The Academic Advisory Committee facilitates student interests on all academic issues, provides a channel to ask questions, raise issues and express opinions about academic services, and identifies issues and communicates them to the Evening MBA Program Office.
The Social Committee oversees social and philanthropic activities for students and assists the Evening MBA Program Office with PR needs. They coordinate such events as Martinis and IMAX at the Fernbank Museum, outings to Braves games, a summer picnic for families and other events where you can socialize with your classmates and develop a lifelong network.
Career Advisory Committee
The Career Advisory Committee is dedicated to providing support to students in the job search. This committee works in conjunction with the Program Office and the Career Management Center and solicits feedback on their services. Goizueta students thrive on our program’s rigor and intensity, and they often choose to extend these challenges outside the classroom. While Evening MBA students face enormous demands on their time, we encourage students to get involved. The extra effort is well rewarded by the enhanced relationships and experiences gained.
Team Goizueta Case Competitions
The business world is extremely competitive. Case competitions give students a challenging environment to practice their business acumen and leadership skills by solving problems in a team-based environment. Students with strong academic ability and superior communication skills are sought after for our teams, which have met with great success in recent years. Collectively, these students – Team Goizueta – represent our student body at national and international case competitions held at other top business schools and corporations. Team Goizueta continues their great success – winning or placing in many internal and external case competitions.
Yellow Ribbon Program
Goizueta is part of the Yellow Ribbon Program, providing a fixed number of awards in each of the School's five MBA formats. The Yellow Ribbon Program is a provision of the Post 9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008 (aka Chapter 33), and allows voluntary partner institutions to enter into an agreement with the Veteran's Administration to fund tuition expenses for eligible veterans. For the majority of our programs, this results in a full-tuition benefit. For more information or to apply for a Yellow Ribbon Program award, please visit our Financing Your MBA page.
Goizueta Veterans Club
The Goizueta Veterans Club is comprised of students across all five MBA formats. Activities each year include student/alumni networking events, events such as the Veterans' Day Celebration and Fun Run, and community service activities (past activities supporting the Wounded Warrior Project and the VA Homeless Veterans Stand-down). In addition, student members share helpful career opportunities, MBA conference information, scholarship and VA funding information, and relocation assistance for incoming students. Goizueta students also may participate in the larger Emory University Veterans Network, comprised of veterans enrolled in other majors across the University.
