Leader development at Goizueta is not a series of discrete events, but a coherent process of individual development and growth over time. The programming is based on, and measured against, a competency model that reflects our comprehensive approach to developing leaders.

Leader Development Model

Cognitive: Technical competence, thinking and decision-making skills.

Emotional: Self-Awareness, self-regulation, and personal growth and maturation.

Behavioral: Leader-centric, stand-alone individual actions: presenting information, managing meetings, time and stress management, self-projection.

Relational: Developing effective work connections more broadly with a network of others including followers, peers, customers, managers.
