  • Why should I choose Goizueta Business School's Evening MBA program?
    Our curriculum is innovative and is continually evolving to meet the needs of working professionals.   • Will my experience in the Evening MBA program differ from the experience of Full-Time MBA students?
    The Evening MBA experience provides students with a network of business colleagues, real-time application of knowledge learned in the classroom, and strong leadership development to advance their career to the next level-without career interruption. Goizueta Business School faculty members teach courses in Evening, Full-Time and Executive MBA programs. The delivery format is adjusted for each program to meet the needs of its students. In determining which program is right for you, we encourage you to explore all MBA programs offered at Emory through Class Visits and Admissions events.

  • What career services are offered to Evening MBA students?
    The Evening MBA Program Office offers a variety of career support services to students including career development seminars, one-on-one coaching, self-assessment, mock interviews, as well as access to the alumni database. Evening MBA students also have access to numerous on- and off-campus recruitment opportunities. To learn more about these services, visit our Career Management section.

  • Does the Evening MBA program offer global perspectives or will I be at a disadvantage as a local, part-time student?
    Evening MBA students are required to complete the International Module either through a variety of short course study abroad opportunities or the International Colloquium.

  • When do classes meet?
    Students attend classes two evenings a week. Each class meets one evening per week on Monday through Thursday during fall, spring and summer semesters. Core courses are scheduled on Monday and Wednesday evenings. For additional information please view the Program Structure.

  • What is the curriculum customizability?
    In addition to regularly scheduled core and elective courses, students can elect to participate in opportunities to accelerate their program. These include: Washington Campus Independent Study elective, the Cross Registration option (ARCHE), and our Accelerated Course Electives (ACE).

Admissions Questions

  • When does the Evening MBA program enroll?
    The Evening MBA program enrolls once-per-year in August.

  • Are interviews required for the Evening MBA program?
    Yes. Evening MBA application files are not considered complete until the candidate has completed an in-person interview. To schedule an interview, please visit the Goizueta Connection system. After filling out a brief registration form, you can request an interview appointment that suits your availability.

  • How important is work experience in the application process?
    The quality of an applicant's work experience is an important factor in the application review process. 100% of our students have full-time work experience following the undergraduate degree. Most students have a minimum of 2 years of work experience; the average is 6-7 years.

  • Do I have to wait until my application is complete to submit it to your office?
    No. You may have various components of the application sent directly to the Admissions office and we will store those items until you have submitted the complete application.

  • Is financial corporate sponsorship required for admission?
    No. Financial corporate sponsorship is not a factor in the admissions process.

  • Are scholarship opportunities available for Evening MBA applicants?
    All admitted Evening MBA applicants will be considered for a limited number of scholarships. To be eligible for consideration, applicants must apply by the March 1 Scholarship Deadline.

  • When will I be expected to pay the tuition expenses and do payment plans exist?
    Upon registration for each semester, you will receive a tuition bill. For more information about payment plans, please see our Financial Aid page.

  • Does the Evening MBA program accept transfer credit?
    A limited number of credit hours may be transferred into Emory's Evening MBA program. Students can transfer a maximum of 6 elective credit hours. These credit hours must have been completed within the last 5 years as part of a graduate degree-seeking program from an accredited university or college. Transfer credit is not part of the admissions process and requests for consideration of transfer credit will be reviewed by the Associate Dean of the Evening MBA program and departmental faculty after a student has been admitted and enrolled in the program. Final decisions on transfer credit are made exclusively by the Associate Dean of the Evening MBA program.
