Curriculum

Emory's Executive MBA curriculum is globally recognized for developing strategic thinking skills and expanding business acumen. Our program offers a strong general management lockstep curriculum designed to build on the solid experiences our students bring into the program. This integrated curriculum covers the fundamentals of business, including classes in finance, accounting, marketing, strategy and economics while also showing students how to navigate complex and often ambiguous situations across all areas of business. While the curriculum allows for some measure of customization, in the end, it is designed to help today’s executives gain the broad knowledge base they need to lead their organizations.

You work closely in a team-based structure with fellow students from different industries, backgrounds, and nationalities, and learn how to work across functions, leading and managing teams of all kinds.

  • Each team is comprised of five to six students
  • Team members are carefully chosen for their particular strengths, backgrounds, and training.
  • Teams change at set times during the program, allowing you to develop a strong network and support system.

Real-World Experiences

Our curriculum actively integrates classroom theory and business reality, leveraging our faculty’s deep connections to Fortune 500 companies and nonprofit organizations. This means you have the opportunity to work on real business situations from a wide range of industries from day one, and you also have the chance to incorporate challenges from your own company into classroom assignments.
