Alumni Career Services Tele-seminar and Career Networking Event

Goizueta Alumni,

Thank you for the outpouring of support we received in response to the email from Dean Benveniste last month regarding the recent financial crisis. We at Goizueta are committed to providing continued support and resources to help those alumni hit by this downturn, including programming. In that light, we would like to share with you two upcoming events geared toward providing career support.

Through our partnership with the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC), we are offering a complimentary tele-seminar "Wall Street in Crisis - Implications for Your Career in Financial Services." This one-hour tele-seminar will be held Thursday, October 23 from 10:00am - 11:00am ET and will include observations and advice from three distinguished executive search consultants who lead Global Financial Services practices. Topics covered will include: which financial services sectors have taken the greatest hit and which will bounce back; how compensation in the sector will be affected short and mid term; how to approach a job search in this market. Please note that you need to register for this free tele-seminar by clicking here. A call-in number and further details will be forwarded to you once your registration has been completed.

In addition, the New York chapter of the Emory Alumni Association (EAA) is offering a career development and networking event on Tuesday, October 28 from 7:00pm - 9:00pm at Random House off Broadway. The session entitled "Career and Advancement in a Struggling Economy" features alumni panelists offering advice and insight on maintaining your career footing and moving forward in challenging times. You can also make an appointment to see EAA Executive Coach Jodie Charlop 82OX 85C, who will conduct complimentary, one-hour career coaching sessions. For details and registration information, please click here. To schedule an appointment with Jodie, please email ecn@emory.edu.

Thank you for the feedback and opportunities you have provided. All of us in the Goizueta family will continue to support each other during this difficult time.

Kind regards,

Samantha Renfro
