One of the hallmarks of our career services at Goizueta is that we are known for providing highly personalized services for recruiters. As a recruiter, you may have a set plan and hiring needs or you may have changing day-to-day needs. A member of our Employer Relations Team will work with you one-on-one to help you identify the right candidates for your organization. We believe in our ability to respond to your individual needs and want to make your recruiting experience at Goizueta efficient, productive and enjoyable.
MBA Career Management Center's Operations Team helps facilitate the on-campus recruiting experience, as well as, designs and executes student career preparation workshops, Professional Development courses, and other various events.
Lastly, the MBA Career Management Center has an Advising Team, consisting of career coaches who have corporate backgrounds in a variety of functional areas. With their expertise and contacts, they partner with students to prepare them not only for their first MBA level job, but for life-long career success.
Wendy Tsung, Associate Dean & Executive Director of MBA Career Management Center, is responsible for the direction, execution and implementation of the services provided by the MBA CMC. Prior to her appointment, Wendy spent 14 years consulting to leading Financial Services Industry clients, most recently as Partner at Mitchell Madison Group, where she was focused on such issues as the B2B financial supply chain, profit improvement, merger integration, new business creation, and intrapreneurship. Wendy was an Associate Partner at Accenture in their Financial Service Strategy group and has also held positions at A.T. Kearney, IBM, and Johnson & Johnson. Joan Coonrod, Senior Director of The Career Management Center for Working Professional MBAs, leads the programming and career coaching for both the Evening and Executive MBA programs at Goizueta. Joan held several positions at the school prior to this, including Assistant Dean of Admissions and Executive Coaching for Goizueta's Executive MBA programs. Prior to joining Emory University in 2002, Joan spent more than 20 years with AT&T Network Systems and Lucent Technologies where she held a variety of leadership positions including global marketing director for the optical fiber business unit and director of channel programs for the North American sales division. She also contributed to the development of the Product Management Leadership curriculum at AT&T Network Systems. Joan holds a B.A. in English Literature from University of Illinois and an MBA from Emory's Goizueta Business School. Maureen Manion-Leone, Senior Director of MBA Career Services, focuses on managing the Full-Time program coaching, program development and corporate relationship functions. Maureen has over 10 years of experience as an educational consultant and professor for US study abroad programs in Italy and South Africa, and also worked in a professional development role for executive search. Before pursuing a career in education, Maureen had more than 5 years of experience in finance and marketing roles at Procter and Gamble. Amy Misner, Director of Employer Relations, builds and maintains relationships with MBA recruiters in the Consulting, Consumer Products, Transportation, Retail, Automotive, Energy/Utilities, Food/Beverage, Media/Entertainment, and Restaurant/Lodging industries. Prior to joining the Career Management Center in 2002, Amy worked with Goizueta's Executive Education department and managed the Litigation department for the Emory Law School. Lori Clomburg, Associate Director of Employer Relations, builds and maintains relationships with MBA recruiters in the Financial Services, Healthcare/Pharmaceuticals, Technology, Real Estate, Manufacturing, and Non-Profit industries. Prior to joining the Career Management Center, Lori worked as the Southeast Region University Recruiting Manager for Grant Thornton, LLP. Marche Simpson, Recruiting Coordinator for the Full-Time Program, facilitates all on campus interviews, job postings, company presentations and coordinates all company visits for companies recruiting Full-time MBAs. Muriel Drake, Office Manager, provides administrative support to the MBA Career Management Center, supports the Full-Time advising team, and assists with student onboarding. Prior to joining the Goizueta team, Muriel received her BA in Psychology from North Carolina Central University, and was an Attraction and Guest Services Manager for The Coca-Cola Company. Laura Weiss, Director of Operations, focuses on overseeing event logistics, statistical captures and reports, managing student onboarding, and supervising office operations for the MBA Career Management Center at Goizueta. Prior to joining the CMC, Laura ran her own gourmet food and specialty gift company, Dolce, for 10 years. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Laura worked at Nortel Networks and MCI in Strategic Events and Corporate Event Planning. Paula Fontana, Associate Director of Advising, works primarily with Marketing students. Prior to joining the Goizueta team, Paula worked in a similar role with MBA students at the University of Georgia. Before pursuing a career in higher education, Paula has more than 10 years of experience in brand management and marketing research in the consumer packaged goods and textile industries. Poonam Puri, Associate Director of Advising, works primarily with Finance students. Prior to joining Goizueta, Poonam worked in corporate finance and she provided career coaching to MBA students at the University of Minnesota. Poonam has more than 15 years of experience in corporate finance in the financial services industry. John Ryder, Associate Director of Advising, works primarily with General Management, Healthcare, Real Estate, and Social Enterprise students. John has worked in career services for over 14 years, the last nine working with MBA students at the University of Florida, UNC-Chapel Hill, and here at Goizueta. Before pursuing a career in higher education, John worked in television production in Los Angeles for 10 years. He holds his Master's degree in Counselor Education from the University of Virginia. Brian Smith, Associate Director of Advising, works primarily with Consulting students. Prior to joining Goizueta, Brian spent the majority of his career as a financial consultant, most recently as a Management Consultant in Accenture's strategy practice aligned to financial services. Robert (Bob) Knight, Associate Director of Coaching for the Working Professional MBA's, has more than 20 years of corporate experience in sales, sales management, leadership and organizational development in the high technology and consumer products industries. He was formerly Learning and Development Manager at Cisco and he has also held training management positions with Smurfit-Stone and Georgia Pacific. Bob has received numerous awards and recognition in his career including the "Training Excellence" and "Top Gun" awards for outstanding work in the management and facilitation of executive education, coaching and leadership development programs. His sales and sales management career spans over 10 years with General Electric, Raytheon and Recognition Equipment. Bob is an honors graduate of the University of Georgia with a BBA in Marketing.
