Today’s economic environment is one where the only constant is change. From shifts in the markets to emerging technologies, aspiring business leaders must not just pursue a career -- they need to construct their path to achieve it. At Goizueta, we share that philosophy and structure our support for success through curriculum, career exploration activities, and community.
Curriculum – The core of our elite MBA program is our innovative and rigorous curriculum, which prepares students to be ready leaders in the workforce on Day One. We purposefully combine foundational coursework, all completed in your first semester, with robust experiential learning electives beginning as early as your second semester. In the Career Architect you will find more on our diverse and extensive elective offerings, which is distinctive for a school our size.
Career Exploration - Achieving career success means surveying your landscape before designing your path. Goizueta students can do that because they are equipped and empowered by our Career Management Center (CMC). The CMC provides guidance even before students reach campus through career surveys and interaction with current students. In addition, our many career activity offerings prep students for company presentations and networking events. The Career Architect provides details on these offerings and other unique programming such as our CMC-led New York Finance and Marketing Trek.
We are proud to share that our Full-Time MBA students achieved extraordinary success with career opportunities this year, with 91% of the Class of 2012 receiving job offers by graduation and 98% receiving offers by 3-months after graduation. These figures place us among the best in the country for MBA career employment and are a testament to our commitment of educating, supporting and empowering our students to succeed.
Community – The tools we provide through coursework and career preparation are further supported by support from the entire Goizueta community. A network of highly-engaged alumni, faculty, staff and classmates, this group is willing and able to help students scope their career plans and often serves as a conduit for opportunities. Accessible faculty with deep connections to industry offer insights in and out of the classroom, while alumni make valuable connections and volunteer expertise. Staff from all areas give guidance and perspective, and peers become business connections and lifelong friends. The Career Architect shows you how students benefit from a close community that prepares them to achieve and foster their ongoing success.
We invite you to learn more about the finance, marketing and consulting functions, our most popular areas of study, and their prominence here at Goizueta, as well as see the many career paths our students often choose. But most importantly, we’d love you to hear directly from our successful alumni just how innovative, explorative and supportive a Goizueta education can be.
