I spent most of my first-year calling and emailing Goizueta alumni in the alternatives industry. Early on, I utilized the alumni database to set up phone conversations and in-person meetings in New York, Atlanta, Chicago and Washington D.C. I found the alumni network extremely beneficial. One contact inevitably led to another as Goizueta alumni went out of their way to help in my internship and full-time search. In fact, I found my internship at a local private equity firm through a Goizueta alum whom I contacted in the fall of 2009. Now that I'm graduated, I still make it a point to keep in contact with many of the contacts I've developed and hope to utilize the network I've built over the past two years as I start my new career.
