The Carter Center
The Carter Center, an action-oriented interdisciplinary part of the university, lies four miles southwest of campus next to the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum. Under the leadership of President Carter and the Carter Center Fellows, the center has gained worldwide recognition for its efforts to foster democracy and development, improve global health, and fight the social problems associated with poverty in urban areas.
